With Collisions and Castaways, one of Alaska's finest exports is returning to the vibrant modern metal scene it helped forge. 36 Crazyfists has been around for a while, not quite as long as Slayer or Ozzy but still, sixteen years is worth something. Collisions and Castaways is the sixth full length album for these Alaskans, who are often known for their frontman Brock Lindow's distinct polarizing voice. Resigning with Roadrunner for the UK, the band answers the criticisms of the last album with one of their strongest, most personal and most melodic offerings for years. The album was produced by the band's guitarist Steve Holt and mixed once again by the legendary Andy Sneap (Killswitch Engage).

So, after a warm and good night the second day of Rock Weekend kicked off with a descent gig by Paul Di'Anno. Unfortunately no pics from this one, but we managed to get you an impression of other fine acts performing this day. Enjoy!

Touring around Sweden with a tent, we came along this camping in Mohed. The owner told us there was a festival nearby with acts like Twisted Sister, Sebastian Bach, Saxon and many more. We already heard about this festival, but we never thought we actually would get there.  Nevertheless, it was only 700m walk from this camping. The camping and the festival is an ideal combination between holiday and music. Great bands, great lake, damn good weather as well.

So, here's a small report of some bands. Most of them are Swedish and later on you'll get more information about them on this site. Please note these pictures were taken with a small camera, and we'll have more photos up later on.

GBH is not your everyday punk band - they are oldschool with many experimental moments in their past resulting in disasters and a lot of negative reactions from their loyal fanbase. Later in the 90's they found their way back to the more "Punkish" sound.

They recently announced that the plug will be pulled out of the band, it was time for new challenges. Check it out below!

Another band we filmed at Blackstar fest 2010 is Shadows Chasing Ghost, This unbelievable awesome band did a very good performance and we got the luck to film their brand new song "Home" Live!

I Am Ghost was one of the final bands on Blackstar fest, they brought a refreshing sound in the building with their melodic punk and hardcore.

When the end came for Blackstar fest 2010 it was time for No Turning Back, This hardcore band from the Netherlands is well know in the belgian hardcore scene.
