Groezrock,

A festival started out as a small rock festival at the grasheuvel (Meerhout). With a small amount off visitors it slowly got every year bigger. But it was not enough they changed with their audiance and changed the line up from rock bands to punk and punkrock bands.

This had an incredible effect with last year more than 30.000 visitors! So now is groezrock one of the first and biggest festivals in Belgium, with a festival like this we couldn't just ignore it and wrote some previews of bands that are lined up over now 3 stages!!

MAD SIN

We are talking about a psychobilly / horrorpunk band from the late eighties formed in Berlin,
Germany by vocalist Köfte Deville. Together with Stein Dr. Solido and Matt Miller (guitars),
Valle (bass), Andy Laaf (percussion) and Hellvis (backing vocals), they bring a swinging mix of oldskool
punk, hardcore, rock ‘n roll, blues and country in both German and English. Their last release (20
years in Sin Sin) is an amazing compilation of Mad Sin's long career, including a live cd.
A spot is reserved at the Groezrock festival on Saturday, Eastpack stage.

DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR

The “from zero to hero”-story brings Bryan (vocals), B-Roll (guitar) , Frankie (guitar), Rob (bass) and
Memphis (drums) from the underground clubs in local neighborhoods to the Groezrock festival.
The boys from Death Before Dishonor bring “straight to your face hardcore”. Although they are a
very new band, after the release of their first 7-length record in 2005, the band from Massachusetts
already found itself touring with Agnostic Front, Full Blown Chaos, Terror and others.
Their second full-length album, called Count Me In, dates from 2007 and delivers an explosive level of
intensity.
Busy bees, bringing an average of 250 shows per year…
Catch the band delivering the crowd hearing problems at the Etnies Stage on Saturday.
