Touring around Sweden with a tent, we came along this camping in Mohed. The owner told us there was a festival nearby with acts like Twisted Sister, Sebastian Bach, Saxon and many more. We already heard about this festival, but we never thought we actually would get there.  Nevertheless, it was only 700m walk from this camping. The camping and the festival is an ideal combination between holiday and music. Great bands, great lake, damn good weather as well.

So, here's a small report of some bands. Most of them are Swedish and later on you'll get more information about them on this site. Please note these pictures were taken with a small camera, and we'll have more photos up later on.

Swedish band from a town nearby. They had to wait over half an hour, because of some problems, but they gave the audience a hell of a rock' n roll time. More info on them later on as well. Check their songs if you like Hellfueled and others.

Then Tarja played on the Main Stage, but we couldn't take any pictures.

Red Hot Rock Stage: Steel Attack

A Swedish power metal band that reunited in the original line up. Those guys recorded the first two cd's in 1999 and 2000. They played a good set with only songs of those two records.

The singer used to be the drummer in Carnal Forge for almost 12 years!

Main Stage: Annihilator

Good show by these metal veratans, including all the hits. The Swedish crowd went wild during "Set The World On Fire", "The Fun Palace" and the final song "Alison Hell".

Classical Swedish power metal band that has released two cd's so far. Great live performance, thight playing and good vocals. The bald man in the middle is Paul Di'Anno, who sang a couple of old time classics like "Wrathchild" and "Running Free" withthe bands. Remarkable performance.

Main Stage: Venom

The last band of the day did a good job in front of a small 5000 people. No need the say it where the bands classic tunes that did the trick. A pleasant end of the day, although the Swedish bands and Annihilator really surprised me.

Hopefully the next days will be as interesting as this one, but the schedule looks good!
