GBH is not your everyday punk band - they are oldschool with many experimental moments in their past resulting in disasters and a lot of negative reactions from their loyal fanbase. Later in the 90's they found their way back to the more "Punkish" sound. The artwork of "Perfume & Piss" is pretty basic punk no special concepts of some sort but an essential band picture and your everyday booklet, which suffices. The first track kicks off with a good drum and base tone where you can find a connection with Rockabilly punk setting a really smooth sound, not too brutal for a bigger audience. It's more open compared to previous albums which where more chaotic and were not intriguing enough to keep listening on and on. "Perfume & Piss" has more structure and is well thought In the lyrics you can find anti-politics, social problems and the fighting against all of this. The track list is well constructed with short but strong lyrics. It's what good punk should be these days, fighting against problems and standing up for your rights! With "Perfume & Piss" GBH has a strong and no nonsense album where you can listen to more than once. Track listening: 01.Unique 2:27 02.Kids Get Down 2:03
