The guys of the Dying announced in a blog statement on their myspace that they achieved everything that was possible. Sad news for such a good band, our hope is that their will be one last show!

The official statement:

"Like so many Rock 'n Roll heroes, The Dying O.D.'ed!
Not from drugs but from a lethal overdose of hard work. Ten years of pure dedication to the band... First Chimaera, ... later on The Dying. Ten years we gave everything in our power, but now we feel that we have achieved everything we could achieve with The Dying. We recorded albums, played fullhouses at Graspop and Pukkelpop, did support for Exodus, Arch Enemy, ... and opened for fuckin' Slayer at the Lotto Arena. We toured from Tallinn To Bilbao... with minivans and nightliners! On the road we met a lot of cool and crazy people! It was one hell of a blast! So much fun, so many highlights, but now we feel the time has come to close this chapter.
We would like to thank everyone we met in those 10 crazy years of metalpartying extravaganza! Everyone of you who supported us in any way possible! Thank you and good night! We love you all! "
